The Artists for the Drum are Gloria Harrison and April Seekins...Many Cultures...Many Rhythms...One Heart
Black Hills Craft Cabin was founded in 2003. Our mission is to provide high quality original artistry in wood, drums, wood crafts flutes, and music. We believe the best way to achieve this goal is to offer our products through the internet and by appointment. Our one sale each year takes place at the Black Hills Buffalo Roundup Arts Festival in Custer State Park the end of September. If anyone is interested in viewing our crafts at the Black Hills Craft Cabin, please feel free to contact us.
- Loren carves the segmented turned flutes, bowls, platters, and vases. Special interest is focused on geometric designs and patterns of Native American Nations throughout the United States. Interest began from his doctoral fellowship and thesis studies from the National Institute of Mental Health at the University of Montana.
- Gloria makes the African Ashiko Drums and Tubano Drums for her drumming music workshops with schools, colleges, and universities throughout South Dakota. In addition, she makes Buffalo Drums for my sister's paintings.
- My sister, April Seekins, is the our Water Color Artist and Oil Painting Artist for the Buffalo Drums.
